Last updated: 10 October 2026. This policy explains what Block or Bestie, operated by MyChallenge, collects and why.
What we store
- Quiz content: your chosen name, gender, language, avatar, questions and answers.
- Game results: players' chosen names, gender, language, avatars, answers, scores and timing.
- Security data: a keyed hash of an IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention. The application does not save raw IP addresses in its game tables; hosting and third-party services may process IP addresses in their own logs.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, topic and message. Messages are saved in our inbox and may be emailed to our support address.
No player account, phone number or real-world identity is required. Avoid sensitive personal information in quiz names and questions.
Your device
Essential browser storage remembers your language, sound preferences, created quizzes and their private scoreboard keys, and games you played. Clearing browser data removes these details and can remove your access to a private scoreboard. Admin sign-in uses a separate session cookie.
Advertising and cookies
When enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Learn about Google's use of data on partner sites and manage personalised ads at My Ad Center. Advertising consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland is managed through a Google-certified consent platform when live advertising is configured.
Analytics
If configured, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel help us understand page usage and game events. Optional tracking starts only after permission through our privacy controls. You can change that choice using the Privacy choices button. Declining optional tracking does not prevent playing. Third-party providers process information under their own privacy policies.
Who can see what
Anyone with an invitation link can see the creator's name and avatar and the public leaderboard, including player names, avatars and scores. The creator, using a private key, can see detailed answers. Site administrators can manage quizzes, results and contact messages. Treat quiz links as shareable and keep scoreboard keys private.
Retention and removal
Quiz content, results and messages remain until removed by the creator or site administrator; there is currently no automatic expiry. Creators can hide players from their scoreboard. To request deletion of a whole quiz, result or contact message, send the quiz link or enough information to locate your data through Contact or email [email protected]. We may need to verify that the request concerns your data. Hosting backups may retain copies until their normal expiry.
Children
Block or Bestie is intended for people aged 13 and over.
